Since the New Year...
Dow up 0.11%
NASDAQ up 2.44%
S&P 500 down 0.06%
Jeff up 4.22%
Tis a great game this market.  I'll sacrifice the time I spend on fantasy basketball and whatever fantasy sports there are if I can perfect beating these markets year after year.  So far, off to a good start.
MA, NYX, AAPL, GS, CSCO, LVLT, Are holding me up
Laggards for me so far DEO, JNJ, MO

So the market isnt moving up that fast this week.  The NYX, MA, GS, and TOL have been moving up aggresively though.  So whats happening.  I was perplexed because I wanted to get into the NYX game.  So while driving around I heard on bloomberg there is speculation that the fed will lower rates.  AH HA!!!! its that point of the cycle where we switch over to cyclicles once again!  No wonder GS, MA and TOL on my portfolio has kept me surging.

I held back from buying NYX because its just running to quick for me and Im afraid of the shorters selling off and me ending up buying too high.  Plus various websites put the P/E at @ 110.  Bloomberg.com is the only one to list it at 50 PE.

Looks like I'll have to stick with my MA and GS.

Current holdings.
Master Card (Rookie of the year)
Goldman Sachs (My All star)
Toll Brothers (come back kid)
JC Penney (I wanted Sears, but they went up too fast... no worries, I'll catch eddie lampert on a pull back.)
Disney
KBR (spin off of haliburton)  I dont care if its down since I bought it.  Its listed as a 3 billion cap company, but yet has 150 billion worth of contracts on the table
SAIC (with situations in the world so crappy, I had to have a defense stock)
Diageo (My Quiet Monster)
Cisco (how can you forget about the tech bulls)

I am now the proud owner of the above logo

Another reason to own Mastercard.  Lots of colleges are switching over their regular IDs to the One card.  With this card students can now just swipe their card when making purchases on campus.  And you guessed it, Mastercard is the parent of this brain child

Also bought this right before the close of the market.  I might have pulled the trigger on this too quickly but Ive been wanting this in my portfolio ever since it made its IPO a month ago.  Im hoping it grows as fast as Mastercard, but I doubt it.  It is pretty undervalued compared to its rivals in defense.  So it should grow.  I also hear its runned pretty well and the offices are impeccible.

I should be trading with Bank of America... blah!

Sold AIG for a 4% profit.  Not bad for a 2 day business day hold.  Not keeping it mainly because I have another financial in Goldman Sachs.  Though I am looking into another financial in Mastercard

Think about it.  Mastercard has not just beat estimates the last 2 quarters, it blew them away.  And now christmas is coming up.  How do you usually purchase products when youre shopping?  Thats right with a credit card.  Plus the times are changing from a time when we use to buy small purchases with cash.. to a time where gen Xers are purchasing with credit cards, regardless of how cheap the product is.  The increase use of credit and debit cards will increase revenue for Mastercard.

But why mastercard over say Amex?  Have you ever traveled outside this country and tried to use your Amex?  Its almost friggen impossible!! Most places that do take credit will take either Visa or Mastercard.  Problem now is which of the two.  Now thats easy also, Visa is still a private company.  So there is only 1 sure way to play this market.  MASTERCARD!

Waiting for the end of the day so the shorters can sell off their holdings, and I can buy it cheaper than this mid day high.

Stupid tax rate increase.  Had to mess up Disney's great earnings report!

And wonderful AIG.  Great turn around!
